I see "windows terminal server" instead of "windows xp professional"

Why do I see "Windows Terminal Server" when I click start
button on the xp system instead of "windows xp
professional". I am connecting to this system using
remote desktop connection.

Windows Terminal Service is what's providing the remote desktop connection
to you. It's a subsystem within windows that handles this functionality,
though I must admit, I've not noticed it changing the Start menu before,
though that's probably because I'm not using that style of start menu....

Remote Desktop is a limited subset of Windows Terminal Services. You'll
have to be more specific about where you're seeing this, because I don't see
it on my systems.
