I saw this formula entry "=+D20/60 + C20"; what does the "=+" do?

I have never seen this "=+" notation. Does it simply set some operator
precedence?

Lotus 123 starts formulas with +
+a1+a2

Lots of users who have used Lotus 123 include the + for no real good
reason--excel will forgive them.

Hi,
it should be =, + came from lottus, however it happens to me that when
entering the = sign in excel 2007 it change it to =+, if you leave or delete
the + signal it will not change the calculation
