i saved a email to word but it is in code

letter from attorney saved attachment to word but can not read because of the
encoding on my computer. not big on the computer and have no idea of how to
fix
 
you might try posting to a Word newsgroup. this newsgroup answers questions
about MS Access relational database software.

You're asking in the wrong place: this newsgroup is for a different
program, Microsoft Access.

What sort of "attachment"? a Word document? If so you need to open it
in either Microsoft Word or Wordpad. How are you trying to do so?
