Using my old hardware config that ran well I now have a problem with my new ATI drivers which cause windows media player or any playing of media files to freeze. I keep trying to reinstall the newest drivers and uninstalling my old ones but windows automatically detects and installs old drivers which is driving me crazy.

Has anyone heard of this freezing problem or how to prevent windows from auto installing older drivers?

Thanks in advance.
