I have Windows 2000 professional. Started yesterday upon
log-on you get a I/O operation failed, unrecoverable.
Sets up a temporary log-on so you can use computer, but
says all data will be lost upon exiting windows.

What does this mean please?

Check Event Viewer for the details of the error.

Upon log-on it says "windows cannot load the locally
stored profile. Contact your system administor" I am
logging on as administrator with no password.

Any other help please? I looked in the event viewer and
it says basically the same thing.

Thanks
