I/O errors

I scanned my computer for viruses - was clean but showed 43 I/O errors. Is this serious? Can I fix this? HELP!!!!!
 
errors reading drive may not be serious or the antivirus
just could not read the sectors. , but you can also do a
scan disk to be sure there are no serious errors in the files

how to do the checking.

you can also go to your antivirus site and do a search for
i/o errors or scan disc. unless you are having file
access problems or your harddrive is making wierd noises it
should not be too serious.
