Alright, I have windows 2000 currently installed on one
of my computers. I have purchased a copy of Xp Home
having not known it cannot upgrade win2000. Is there
anyway I can completely get rid of win2000 and install
the Xp Home version on it? I dont care whats on the
win2000 so I am willing to delete everything. All I want
is Xp Home on that computer.

Greetings --

If you have the full version of WinXP Home, simply boot from the
WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the opportunity to delete,
create, and format partitions as part of the installation process.
(You may need to re-arrange the order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS
to boot from the CD.)

If you have an Upgrade version of WinXP Home, however, you'll need
to have an older, qualifying OS present before you can use it.
