I need recommendation for Online backup

Hello,

I would like to use an online backup service. I tried Carbonite, but
unfortunately the backup process is slow, even I have a very high speed
fiber optic connection. Can you recommend another service?

All of them are slow to do the initial backup. Subsequent backups are
faster.

Corporate/Enterprise accounts are also faster.

I use Mozy--at work and at home. MozyPro is quite a bit faster than
MozyHome, but both are relatively slow. Nonetheless, I'm perfectly
satisfied.

If you want fast, choose to back up to another drive. You're not going
to get that kind of speed from an online backup solution.

I personally wouldn't recommend ANY online backup service, I simply don't
trust anybody else with my data

Hi,

IMO it's not I don't trust some of them, but to many things can go wrong if
you needed to retrieve your files in an emergency. However if you desire to
use one then this site is one of the best recommended, but they all say
that, right? BTW have you thought about using a USB JumpDrive?

All the best,

we use WWW.OnlineBackupVault.com
words can not describe how much i love their product as well as their
support team. they are a constant life saver
at 50 bux a yr for residential service - that is cheaper than mozy and
same as carbonite (25 gig is 50 bux) which is more than ample for 99%of
users. another interesting thing - if you google
www.onlinebackupvault.com you will only see positive feedback - try the
same with other companies - and i doubt you will see the same

Hi, I'm Dave Friend, Carbonite's CEO. The limitation that you'r
experiencing is not a Carbonite limitation – we go as fast as your DS
or Cable connection will allow. Typical DSL is 350 kbps, which equate
to about 2.5GB per day. My advice is to just wait until your initia
backup is done. The daily updates will happen so fast you'll neve
notice and you won't have to worry about losing your data any more

Hello. Thank you for your reply. When I upload from my computer, to an FTP
site, the transfer goes much faster than going to Carbonite.
