please could someone out there tell why every time i start my pc up i get a
system 32 screen come up tell me i need whats in this file to ru the pc

Does the PC fully boot and then display this message ? or is this a
BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) where normal PC operations do not
start. Answers depend on details/descriptions given to work with.

Please be more specific about excatly what this screen is and what it says?

Did you recently remove a virus? This may be a left-over reference to it
that also needs to be deleted.

OK - then it's likely a "Fractured" startup command that Windows
interprets by opening the \Windows\System32 folder. Likely exists
in the Run keys of the Registry. Not too difficult, but a little detective
work to run down the offending line is needed. Best tool to find the
problem is a SysInternals tool, called AutoRuns - download & run
check the column titled "Image Path", look for entries with the path
containing \Windows\System32.

you again

Why is it that some of my cd's will give me the message that the files are
read only and can't be changed others do not?

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by
an incomplete program removal, in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys. It can also
be caused by an entry in these same keys that starts with a " / ."

I am also having this problem when turning on my laptop. Everything loads as
it should but then I get a message come up saying:
Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\zjrolko\dll and that the specified module
could not be found.
What does all that mean???
All help would be appreciated as I am a complete novice and it's bothering me.
Thanks
Matt

A Google Groups search showed no mention of that file, other than your
post. That suggests that some malware was removed, but the reference to
the file was not removed from the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop, attach
the file to a post in this thread; someone might note whether it's safe
to delete first. If you remove it and there's a problem, double-click
the .reg file you exported to the Desktop and it'll be added to the
registry again. You can create a restore point before editing the
registry too.

It could be a residual call to that .dll that no longer exists because it
was malware and you ran a cleaner that removed it. From Start | Run |
msconfg | Ok, look on the startup tab for a reference to it. If it's there
uncheck it. Then do some malware cleanup to be sure.
