I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

Im not sure if I am in the right area but I hope someone
can help me. I am running XP and several times a day my
computer just shuts down. The message says its shuting
down something about NT system/authorization then it says
it is shuting down due to remote procedure call service
terminated unexpectantly. I have no clue what this is -
it just started within the last week. Can someone please
help me - I am getting very frustrated!

Okay, my friends have been asking me about this as well... While the
solution (if there is one) seems to be installing updates, they have
found ie doesn't work and you have to use that to run updates..
anybody else hit this situation and find a remedy besides a complete
reinstall w/ mucho loss?
