I need help with my network!

I need to connect my cpu which use windows XP and my
little brother's computer which use windows millenium
together on network but i just dont know how! I tried a
lot of things but it was in vain. I just dont know what
parameters and protocols I need with windows xp.
Help me plz!!!

First step: read the articles about networking in "Help" on your
computer. That will get you going.
