I need help with directx9.0b

i have to install directx 9.0b to run this one program
but it doesnt even work it just says at the very end
could not copy file installation incomplete. there is a
missing file i guess or at least thats what its saying. i
dont know how to get this directx9.0b installed because
it just fails at the very end of the installation every
time

Matt, I just downloaded and installed directx 9.0b without any problems.
Maybe you should download it again. There could be something wrong with
the download. Hope this helps.

Hello, I agree with above, re-download from the Direct X site don't do
a Windows update, this way have you'll have the installer to archive,
if it works. BUT...I downloaded the DX 9.0b SDK (software developement
kit), (I'm no developer) but it seemed to be a better package. No
issues with installation and everything runs with it, productivity and
gaming software on all my PC's under W2k, XP home and XP pro.
