I need help about profile.

Hibernation is like shutdown, but all of RAM is copied to the hard drive,
and this file is loaded back into RAM when the machine is restarted. That
way, the machine is exactly the way it was before you shut it down.
PS: If you really need to shut down all the way, then hibernation is not the
same, and you need to fully shut down.)

-No, profiles are not modified
-Settings are saved
-If the Hibernation File is not empty, then WinXP knows it hibernated
 
Does it modify profile when I place system into hibernate mode?
Does winXP save setting before shutting down application or make them
overlap?
When reboot ,how does winXP identify whether it hibernated or shutted down
before ?
Is anyone can help me? Thank you!
