| This is Windows 2000 Pro SP4. I just realized that, when I right-click
| on an inf file, there is no option to install.
|
| Under Tools/Folder Options/file Types is the type "inf". I click the
| advanced tab and find this:
| Action: Install
|
| Under Edit I find this:
| Action: Install
| Application used to perform actiom:
| C:\WINNT\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection
| DefaultInstall 132 %1
|
| This all looks correct, how can I fix? Thanks!

You might try exporting the keys for .inf and inffile from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes
of another machine. Then merge them into the reg on your machine. Else these
articles may help you.
