I used the DIW to create a add, delete, and update asp
pages to an access table. I customized all the headers,
column names etc. How do I get the check box back without
regenerated everything again. I'm starting to think the
DIW is a pain. I'm finding out it's nice but you'd better
not change anything. The way the frames work that the DIW
generates don't work right either. If you switch back and
for from the editor to the display results to the editor
it keeps building frames. Poor design. Was FrontPage 2003
tested?

Best to learn to hand code your own ASP code, where you have more flexibility.

That's the conclusion I'm coming to. I'm an old mainframe
developer cobol, cics, and assembler. I also had the
opportunity to develop a system in SmallTalk using a true
object database called Versant. I'm currently supporting
a system that is java based with interfaces to oracle 9i
database that runs on a unix box. This is the second web
site I have development. The first was static html. I
decided to use FrontPage because our club only has about
40 members and it seemed a great value for the
functionality that was advertised. If I'm gonna take the
plunge should I learn ASP coding or use ASP.net. I don't
want to invest any more $ in this project. Our club is a
home brewing club we like to drink our dues.

Classic ASP/VBScript is the easiest to learn.
