I lost the ability to create NEW Folders in XP and Desktop Context Menu different

Hi,

XP Pro with SP2 Problems

1. Whenever, you right-click in explorer within an existing folder to
get the context menu to create a NEW Folder - That option is not
there.

Common Tasks Pane on the Left Hand Side with the Option to "Make a
new Folder" from the "File and Folder Tasks" does nothing when
clicked.

I figure that there is some registry key(s) corruption. I am
running ESET Nod32 v2.51 (virus defs updated) and
ZoneAlarm v6.5 (Basic Firewall).

2. Whenever I right click on the desktop for the context menu - all I
get is the following:

Refresh
Paste (Greyed out)
Paste Shortcut (Greyed out)
Properties

3. Windows Update Security fixes - up to date

4. Already ran - sfc /scannow - with no effect...

Any Ideas,
Dr. Cyber

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for your advice - default functions restored - that did it.
