I lost "Save" option

I have lost the "Save" option from the dropdown options under "File" on the
toolbar. How can it be restored? I am using Microsoft Office 2003 on a
Gateway laptop with Windows Vista. I also have "Microsoft Office Live Add-In"
.... whatever that is. Thank you for your help.

Suzanne, I tried Method 1 & Method 2 but they didn't restore "Save" option. I
didn't understand Method 3, but do appreciate your help.

I can't see why Method 1 wouldn't work, as this is the way you add any
command to any menu. Do you perhaps have adaptive menus enabled? On the
Options tab of Tools | Customize, make sure that "Always show full menus" is
checked.

That didn't work either, Suzanne. But going back to the earlier posts on
Methods 1& 2: (1) The "File save" icon won't join the drop down menu, but
remains on the toolbar between "File" and "Edit." And (2) Under step 5, after
I clicked on Close, I held the Shift key down and selected File. There was,
however, no "Save All."

You have to hover the mouse over the File menu until it drops down, then
drop Save on the menu. I can't explain why you didn't see Save All, but this
is just a precaution to make sure that Normal.dot is saved, so it may not be
necessary. And of course it's always possible that Save All has also been
lost and needs to be replaced.
