i lost my tape backup history can't do restore

hi ... everytime you make a backup using windows backup it keeps a record for
that process so you will use it when you restore your data, i lost this
history or archive and now i can't restore anydata from the magnetic tapes i
used for backup.
is there any way to recreat the cataloge or the archive out of the magnatic
tapes?
please help.

Read it off the tape.

sorry but i don't have a virus , i lost the backup cataloge, and i can't do a
restor operation because i don't have the cataloge and i don't know how to
generate it out of the backup tape i used.

And I'm sorry you are clueless to Usenet.

I never said you did have a virus !

I'll repeat "Read it off the tape.". All the file and data is on the tape you can rebuild
the catalogue off the tape.

Below is my Usenet "signature" and not a suggested course of action. It is my signature
becuase I don't like retyping it when I do discuss computer infectors which is the majority
of scenarios I reply to. But not all.

Maybe its time YOU leraned how to access Usenet and the Microsoft News Groups rather then
stuck with the crappy web based front end to the News Group.
