Contact the Microsoft office for your country or region, and tell them your
tale of woe. If they will not help you, and you want to be legal, then you
will have to re-purchase the product; but if you do not worry about
legalities, you can search for "cracks". Should you choose the latter
route, be aware that "cracks" are vehicles of choice for people who are
spreading viruses, worms, and other malware, along with the (presumably)
"public-spirited" people who just, "out of the goodness of their heart,"
want you to be able to use the software for free.
If you make a sufficiently strong case that you actually licensed Office,
the support people at Microsoft are very good about helping you.
In any case, this should be a good "object lesson" in not throwing away
something with significant monetary value.
