I picked up a corrected document from my e-mail and compared it to the
original - then I saved the new one with the name of the old one. I would
now like to recover the original document, but don't know how to.

Can someone help me?

You're probably out of luck unless you emailed the original to the person
you got the corrected one from *and* save copies of your sent mail. In that
case, you can open and save the attachment from your email.

And why didn't I think of that? Of course I sent it to my client,
originally, so now I should be able to get if from my "sent" folder.

Thank you so much - you have been a big help.

Hi,

I'm not pretty sure if some data recovery tool might help, but there is
still a chance. This way, it's better to use the most powerful ones.
I've been used to Undelete this time, it is a great tool, never failed
me before. I suppose you can give it a chance.

For years now, I have used Norton GoBack. It provides file and version
recovery for all files on your drive, as well as a more accurate "restore
point" function than windows. It is included in Symantec Norton Utilities
2006 and later.
