I installed a new monitor

The monitor came with 2 cords a blue one (VGA) which I used and another white
one which I think I should've used which is DVI. I have a FireGL X2-256t
Workstation Graphics Accelerator card. It cost me over 700 after taxes. Now
this white cord says on the package if you have a graphic card in your
computer with digital output use the white one. I would really be grateful
for someone to tell me which cord I should use.
Thx

DVI would be preferred to VGA (this would avoid a digital to analog
conversion).

Since it appears that both your video card and your monitor support this,
why not take advantage of it?
