Hello,

I have a Pc (AMD Semprom 3000+ with Asus 8kv-Se) this motheboard has a sonic
card integrated in it, but I disabled in the BIOS, my problem is the next:
My Pc has Windows XP with Sp2, and I downloaded from the web page of
Creative the drivers for Sound Blaster Live 5.1! and the web hotfix and teh
las updates, but I only can put 4 speakers in this application. I put 5.1
sound in Windows propieties but the Pc does nothing.

I try to download the last updates of .Net Framework and I installed in my
Pc, but I can't put the 5.1 sound, I re-installed the drivers few times,but
I can´t put this sound.

I would like to know how is able to install 5.1 sound in my Pc, I need the
links for the updates or applications if is possible.

I try to fix this constrains by other ways but I haven´t more ideas, I need
your help.

Best regards, Miguel.

Have you checked the settings (or installed even!) the Creative settings
console rather than Windows settings?

Also, connections at rear of PC are correct?

I had a problem with Sound Blaster Audigy 2 and Logitech 5.1 speakers on
install, one of the initial checks in setting up the surround sound is a
speaker wiring polarity check. Get it wrong and the sound card shuts down
that channel (verified by swapping speaker wires - is the sound card and not
the speakers). It doesnt then give an option to reset this, I had to
uninstall the Creative hardware, re-install drivers and software and redo the
surround settings to repair.
