I have no folders under outlook today (2003)

I just installed outlook on a new hp6000 and I have no calander or other
functions under outlook today. The message tells me "unable to expand the
folder" when I click on outlook today.
 
Did you configure it with a correct account? Is the folder accessible
through the Folder List?
