I have my picture on my resume. It won't cut and paste with my re.

I have my picture on my resume and when I apply online for a job using their
application form I can cut and paste my resume onto it but my picture won't
go. The person who scanned my picture said I had to do it in 2 parts. First
click on the picture and hold down shift. Then he had to go because he had
customers to deal with. I called backed in 5 minute he had gone home. I
desperately need step by step instructions on how to do this. Can anyone out
there help me?
