i have an smtp error 0x00ccc79 and now can't send emails out

I have just set up Outlook 2000 and managed to send and receive memails for a
day. I can now only send emails and a message comes up SMTP server error
with my email IP address and the error code 0x800ccc79.

Can anyone suggest how to fix it?

Please post that entire error message, there are important details in it we
need to see.
