Supplemental:
If you're doing everything according to Hoyle and still cannot access the file,
it may be corrupt. If so, got back to your old computer and make another copy of
the file. Be sure that Outlook is closed and not running in the background when
you make the copy, otherwise the copy will be corrupt.
| If you saved it on any other media type other than a CD, post back with
details.
|
| Otherwise, I'm assuming that it's on a CD, if so, you cannot do anything to
it,
| that's by design. Using Windows Explorer, simply drag and drop a COPY of it
| somewhere to your harddrive. After you successfully do that, then r-click on
the
| COPY of the file, select Properties, then uncheck the Read-only attribute.
This
| last step is done on the file that was copied to your harddrive.
|
| If you're doing things differently than outlined above, tell us, step by step,
| exactly what you did and what you did it with.
|
| | | If what you are saying is the same thing Brian Tillman is in his post. I
have
| | tried all of these things. I am unable to save, copy, cut, paste, uncheck
| | Read Only, etc. Nothing works. The file either says I do not have
permission,
| | parameters incorrect.
