i have a problem in parallel port interfacing

hello i install windows xp profesional edition last week
since i m an computer engineer i work on a parallel port
interfacicg before this i used in win98 but when i used
here in winXP i get a error and my given data was not on
port and i cant write any data on port plz help me an
give me the solution of this problem thanks!microsoft

Computer engineer shouldn't try to write the data on any hardware directly.

What are you using on the Parallel Port?

Do a google search for userport.zip (or link at the below site).
You run userport and then you have access to the parallel port
just like you do under win98. I have XP pro and use qbasic to
read/write to the parallel port with out problems. Check the
below page.
