I have a document that I want to retype without printing a copy?

I am trying to work a new copy of a document. I would like to have it on
screen and type the new draft from the rough draft without printing out the
rough draft. I am using word 2003.
 
Open the original,
File>Save As by whatever name you want for the new copy & leave it open,
Re-Open the original,
Window>Compare Side-by-Side with... Or Window>Arrange All
