i have a bullet appearing when i operate the spacebar in Word

Bullet suiddenly started to appear today. Also happens when i edit previously
generated documents

Do you also have a ¶ at the end of paragraphs?

If so, look on your toolbar beside the Zoom percentage. If you have a ¶
button, click on it once. If you don't have that, tool - Options - View -
under Formatting marks, clear any of the options that are selected.
