I get error message for autoreply "cannot reply to this message"

[autoreply cannot reply to this message]

I set up autoreply in Outlook 2007 (without Exchange), followed instructions,
setup the template and rules, then I get error messages that Outlook "cannot
(automatically, mine) reply to this message."
What is wrong?

I had exactly the same problem. I couldn't make either of the work arounds
I found on the web to work (just use plain text--I already was!--or run the
rule manually, which worked for what was in the inbox, but didn't work for
new messages), so I uninstalled the latest security update for Office 2007
and that seemed to work.
