I get an MMC error when I run Diskeeper Lite

"MMC has detected an error in a snap in. It is recommended that you shut
down and restart MMC." I didn't used to get this before. It probably has to
do with the SP3 upgrade. Does anyone know how to get rid of this error
message?

According to email support with Diskeeper support, the problem is a result
of mmc change in SP3. The problem occurs in the earliest versions of
diskeeper 9 and prior. The problem is with the snap-in, not MMC itself.
"MS should be releasing a patch soon" said email diskeeper support.

Uninstalling diskeeper should provide you use with the default defrag
program. Although this (XP windows defrag program) is an earlier version of
diskeeper, and downgraded diskeeper, it has no snap-in related to mmc.

Have diskeeper 8. It has been my experience since installing SP3, am
allowed one session of diskeeper per windows session. Yes, I have same
error message. Any further attempt to reopen diskeeper results in an IE
window opening. If I want to use diskeeper again, I have to restart the PC.

I have DK Lite 7.0, don't have the problem with IE window opening. Can do
multiple sessions without reboot. I ignore the mmc msg and go on with the
defrag. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem!

Is the error that causes the problem being addressed?
