I get an error message

I got a file (Access 2000) in a floppy disk. It had the same name with one
of my files. I deleted my file but cannot copy the file from the Floppy
because I get the message: Cannot copy FILE_1: Data Error (cyclic redundacy
check).
How can I copy my file from the floppy? What is happening?

Jimmy,

Your floppy disk is corrupted and the data on it is lost. There *may* be
some recovery software that could attempt to recover the file but off the
top of my head I don't know of any.
