I enter new contact but it doesn't showup in the address book

when I do a lookup from a new message or hit the icon on the toolbar, but its
there when I go top the main contacts screen.
 
Post enough detail for us to understand your question.
Offhand, it appears you are adding the Contact to a location that is not
included in your addressing service. Since you posted none of that
information, you'll need to figure out if that's the case.
