Would anyone know why I would be able to access the
internet logged on with a local admin account but not with
a domain account that is in the local admins goup? For
some reason I.E 6 places an extra www in front and a .net
in the back of my URL when I am logged on with the domain
account. The problems seem to disappear when I log on with
a local admin account.

Try disabling the DNS client service.

net stop dnscache

Some W2Ksp3 users seemed to have a permissions problem
concerning it. I don't know if a better solution has been found.

I can't remember exactly all the details of the symptoms.
I seem to recall that nslookup worked but ping didn't.
That would be consistent with the idea that the dnscache
was interfering with the lookup. Disabling it just means
that DNS overrides fall back onto the HOSTS file only
(IOW the same as NT4).

BTW you may find better help from a newsgroup
which specializes in your OS.
