I deleted services.exe

I came to understand that services.exe came in two flavours: vital system
process, and spyware that disguised itself as such. Needless to say, when I
used Killbox to delete the file that I THOUGHT was spyware, I ended deleting
something my computer needed. Now my computer just starts up with a blue
screen, and I feel like a moron. I'd like to fix the problem, but that's hard
to do when all I have is a blue screen to work with.

Try to start in Safe Mode by taping the F8 and when you get the booting
options select Safe Mode.
On Safe Mode try to perform System Restore to an earlier date then log on
Normal Mode and see if you are successful.
If you are ON try to scan for malwares and viruses.
Good luck.

Unfortunately when I start in Safe Mode all I get is a black screen that says
"Safe Mode" in the corners. I'm rather computer illiterate, but I'm willing
to reformat my computer (I assume that's possible from the DOS prompt thing).

Hi Eric2687,

As your computer boots up, tap F8. Once you get the menu, choose the
Last Configuration that worked. Don't go into Safe Mode.
