I used to run on ME until some operating files were
corrupted. Trying to fix the problem, things got worse and
I ended up having to install Windows 2000. I currently
have a multiple boot between the two and the ME is still
not running properly. I want to remove the ME to free up
some space. Any suggestions?

You will need to determine your install paths.

Typically the boot.ini file will list this information. By default Windows
2000 installs into C:\WINNT directory. ME installs into the C:\WINDOWS
directory (if memory serves).

If you are on separate partitions then you need to determine which one is
safe to delete. If you are on the same partition, you are safe to delete the
directory that ME is installed to.

Just make SURE that you know which directory it actually is. Then I would
either edit the BOOT.INI file to remove the reference to ME or just set the
Windows 2000 boot up to be the default with no delay to start up.
