Try deleting your temporary internet files. Go to Start - Settings - Control
Panel - Internet Options. From the General tab, select Delete Files.

Also, to have the pdf's viewed by Adobe Reader, go to My Computer -
C:\drive, click on the Tools menu and select Folder Options. Click on the
File Types tab. In the list of files, find the pdf files and click on the
Change button. Change the pdf's to open with the Adobe Reader. Look to see
if it is in the 'Open With' list, if not, you will have to browse to locate
the Reader file. Make sure that you put a check mark next to 'Always use the
selected program to open this kind of file'. Click on OK when done.
