I can't type certain letters in my word document

I was letting my 2 yr old type in a word document, and when I went back to
what I was doing, I could no longer type t, h, and v. They just do not show
up in the document. It is like I am not pressing anything.

Has this ever happened to anyone. Any suggestions to fix it?

As far as I know, my daughter was just typing gibberish.
Thanks

Sounds like some dirt -- or some liquid -- got into your keyboard.
(Are G and Y ok?) Maybe you can unscrew the case and clean it out, or
maybe you can replace the keyboard. (Please don't say it's a laptop!)

it is a laptop. I don't think it is dirt or liquid. I am using it now. It
works fine except for those three letters when I use Word 2007. It's only the
t,h, and v.

It _might_ be not too difficult to lift up the keyboard -- it might be
hinged above the top row, for instance -- so you can blow (don't
touch!) the mote off the contacts. If not, take it to your friendly
repairman!

Or maybe she banged on it and the contact points underneath got a
little bent out of shape?

Note that the problem occurs only in Word; tytlermom is obviously able to
type those letters in other programs:
