I can't stop it from deleting letters when I edit.

Help! I have no idea how to stop it! I'm trying to edit something I wrote.
 
Trty pressing the Insert key on the keyboard. You're probably in
Overwrite mode, which means that every letter you type deletes one
that's already there.
