Hey there,
If your computer is not connected to a corporate network
and personal firewall software is not installed on the
computer, reset the proxy settings for MSN Messenger or
Internet Explorer: To reset the proxy settings for MSN
Messenger:
a. Start MSN Messenger.
b. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the
Connection tab.
c. Clear the I use a proxy server check box.
d. Click OK.
Note Do not use a proxy setting unless you have been
instructed to do so by your network administrator.
To reset the proxy settings for Internet Explorer:
a. Start Internet Explorer.
b. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
c. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN
Settings.
d. Under Proxy server, clear the Address and Port check
boxes.
e. Clear the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
f. Click OK, and then click OK again.
If your computer connects to a corporate network:
a. Start MSN Messenger.
b. On the Tools menu, click Options.
c. Click the Connection tab.
d. Note the information under Current Settings, and then
contact your network administrator to determine if the
information is correct.
