Setting Reminders in Public Folders

I am wanting to have the appointment in a public folder
popup for a reminder. Since it is a shared folder I am
not able to set it to remind me of an important event
that I want everyone to see on the calendar. In my
personal calendar they popup when put on my calendar.
How do I get this setup to work on a public folder?

You can't. Reminders only fire in your default folders. To get reminders to
fire for other folders in your mailbox, check out Extended Reminders by Ken
Slovak (www.slovaktech.com). He is also working on a product called Reminder
Manager that will eventually enable reminders for public folder items. That
isn't currently available however.
