If anyone out there has the knowledge to help me out, I'd
be really grateful for your response.

I'm trying to access MS Outlook 2000 from my desktop after
connecting to the Internet via Earthlink. Everything
is "normal" until I hit the send/receive button on my
email toolbar...

I then receive a dialog box that says: "Unable to get the
dial-up information needed to dial "netcom." Please check
the properties for this connection in the "Dial-up
Networking" settings.

I recently upgraded from dial-up to DSL, but the phone
number remains the same (and I would think my settings
would, too?) so I'm not sure what I'm not doing/or doing
wrong. It's been several days since I've been to date
unsucessful in solving this problem, and not only am I
getting somewhat frustrated, but I'm also facing hundreds
of unread emails.

Is anyone out there able and willing to advise and help?

I'm very, very grateful...

DSL doesn't use dialing. The authentication credentials, however, should
remain the same.
