I can't re-active Vista, please help

Hi,

I installed Vista, but my computer crashed hard.

I had to re-install Vista. When I try to activate Vista with my product key
it says “it is already in use.†which it's not.

I'm not willing to buy another product key for $143. Please help.

just ring the activation number and put in the massive code when it fails
they put you thru to a operator and tell them you have had to re-install
they will then sort it....I have an OEM and have change my mobo 3 times
since I've had Vista and they sorted it each time
 
I can't check, but isn't there an option to 'change key' or something
similar? If so, choose that option and re-enter your key. Perhaps someone
will come along and clarify.

I believe it is under accessories/system tools in the start menu (or
would that be pearl menu?).

You could also call MS activation line.

Or you could do something even wiser and go back to XP or try a live CD
of the linux distro of your choice.
