I can't play MP3 files on WindowsMediaPlayer

I was using WMP3 to play my mp3 files. Recently I have
installed some mp3 player softwares and reinstalled them.
Then, when I try to play my mp3 files on WMP i recive
this error:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the
required audio codec is not installed on your computer.

But other softwares like WINAMP can play the same Mp3's.

What should I do? Plz HELP!!!
