I can't open word documents from other people!!

I'm really getting fed up! I often can't open ".doc" documents from some of
my colleagues, particularly when they are sent through Lotus Notes.

Please help!

Have you tried opening the same document when it is transferred by a memory
stick or disk?? I've had a lot of trouble with Lotus Notes corrupting
attachments in the past - which is why we dumped it years ago.
If they open when they are not emailed then the error lies within Lotus Notes.

Also, have you tried saving the attachment to your hard drive before
opening it?

Hi,

I've tried saving the attachment, but even that process gets corrupted.
However, I just found out how to solve the problem. I have to go to my
Control Panel , User Accounts , and Turn off User Account Control by
un-checking the box. It's working fine now!
