I CAN'T OPEN ANY FILES IN XL 2000?

All of a sudden I can't open anything. The program will launch and allow me
to create, but will not "open" anything. I have gone so far as to reinstall,
and still nothing.....can anybody help me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
 
Perhaps you put some anti-virus file scanning in place? Turn off the
Office Plug-in part of it.
