I can't get rid of...

Attempt to post x 2 - sorry if this is a repeat!
How do you get rid of the entries on the drop list when
accessing user id boxes or google search box. I have
dyslexic typing fingers and have many typo error, the
lists are getting awful long. I have tried deleting my
history on my hard drive and IE, ditto for cookies, plus I
have a cache and cookie washer. When I right click an
entry, it does not allow me to delete. I can place it in
the box and delete but that is to the box not a permanent
deletion. HELP!!!

Have you tried IE-Tools-Internet Options-Content-AutoComplete?

You can also delete some individual items by moving the highlight to
them when they drop down and pressing Delete

Checkout PC Magazine's AutoWhat utility. Unfortunately you can no
longer download from them unless you pay to subscribe to their download
library. Sucks. In IE, your only option is clear autocomplete.

For Google, the lastest version 2 includes a clear history menu item
under the "Google" main button.

Clear autocomplete worked for Cindy.

I suppose but that's one of 2 options. Either clear ALL of your
autocomplete history or delete them one at a time in the drop-down list.
If you really want to manage your autocomplete history, it sure would be
nice to see all of it so you could delete ranges of entries, multiple
entries, or even edit them (to correct them instead of having to delete
them and reenter them complete again). I don't remember what all
AutoWhat does but do remember it let me have more control over
autocomplete than "delete all" or "delete one" choices. Unfortunately,
I got back to their downloads too late and they already started charging
for subscriptions to their download library.
