When I assign a keyboard shortcut to a macro, save it in Normal, it shows the
keyboard assignment there but when I try to use it, it will not run the macro
I assigned it to.

What does the macro do? Does it require certain conditions in order to run
(text to be selected, for example)?

There are several different macros and I know that all of them work because I
can run them from the Tools, Macro, Macros dialog box, selecting the macro I
want and pressing Enter. But the macro won't run using the keyboard
assignment I gave it.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?QXVyb3Jh?=,

I had a machine once, where this happened to me off and on. Never did manage to
track down WHAT was preventing the keyboard shortcuts from working. One day,
they just started working again. Later they stopped. Then they came back...

Have you checked to see that the keyboard assignments are sticking around
after you close Word? Any chance you have Adobe Acrobat 7 installed?

Yes the keyboard assignments are still there after closing and restarting
Word. No Acrobat 7 installed. It's a real puzzle because i can customize
keys for the macros on a different machine.
