I can't figure out how to delete databases that I have used that appear on
the first screen of Access.

I think you'll need to provide a bit more detail.
I'm not sure if many of us will understand what you're trying to do.

I think what you mean by first Access screen, would be the "Database
Window."
That screen lists all the tables, forms, queries, etc... that you have
built for this application.
The Database Window... despite it's nomenclature... does not have any
"databases."
