I Can't Delete Certain URLs

E

Exasperated

I have an embarrassing, infuriating problem. I can't
delete several URLS that pop up in the drop-down box
whenever the right letter(s) are typed in. Why is this
embarrassing and infuriating? Because they are porn
sites. And I don't want my wife to know that I visited
those sites. I've tried the "Clear History" feature as
well as the regedit method of clearing URLs and neither
one has worked. Also, the porn URLs are not in the
Favorites folder. Every other URL that appears in the
drop-down box is in the Favorites folder. It's driving me
crazy and it could lead to a lot of embarrassment for me
should my wife find out.

When most URLs appear in the drop-down box they begin with
the letter that had been typed in whereas in the case of
the two porn sites they begin with http:// followed by the
letter typed in. One has the standard URL address
followed by /cgi.bin/s.cgi and the other has /?
ft=zooorgies.com. I'm at my wit's end. Does anyone have
any way of getting rid of a URL address that seems to have
no means of being deleted? Thank you.

This problem had been bugging me for several weeks now. But finally,
after alot of searching, I tried a program called Spider and used the
newest version v1.16 which you can grab here http://www.fsm.nl/ward
It will clear out hidden urls in index.dat found in c:\documents and
settings\"user"\cookies
Anyway, no other program had worked for me until I tried this one.
